Well it hasn't been that long since our last news posting,
but a lot has been going on behind the scenes.
We are preparing for a huge structural shift in the team,
but that is for another news post.
We have been working hard to get some media together but some
of us are fighting more technical issues (it always happens
at the worst time possible), thankfully it has only affected
myself so work can still continue while the issue is fixed.
We have a few new members to welcome to the team. Johny, our
coder is currently working on our in-game menu system which
will allow the player to access different missions from a
laptop in his/her base. This system will then transport the
player to a mission map which allows them to complete the
mission and be teleported back to the base. When this is
completed it should be a huge step in the right direction
for the mod and will really allow us to push what we are
capable of doing. Even better news is that Johny has
informed us that the system (a very early prototype of
the system) should be completed next week. So stay tuned
for a media release of the working system.
Our next member of the team is CosminMarza. Cosmin is our
Music Composer for the mod and will be working closely with
us to achieve really dramatic and epic tracks for the game.
It has been a hectic week trying to get everything ready for a news
release. We have been met with countless tech problems (some are still
an issue) and busy life schedules. We have overcome this and can now
say that we are officially in the development phase!
For those who don't know who we are, World Domination is a mod base
on starting a revolution. The mod takes inspiration from many sources.
Such include; "Evil Genius", "Mafia", "Empires" (HL2 mod) and
"Republic: The Revolution".
We are few in number (4 of us in total with the possibility of another
possible member) but despite this, we are striving to complete the mod
in blocks. These blocks will focus on getting a certain number of items
done before a "Stage" of production is complete. Each production stage
will allow us to effectively manage the work load and give us a sort of
"Map" as to what needs to be done.
We also got a forum which we encourage people to join so they can actively
contribute to the development through idea suggestions, discussions and
even applications to join the team. The forum can be found on the webpage,
just follow the link on the left hand side.
Our concept artist, MKraszewski has worked hard to produce some early
concepts for us which are very promising. Some of his work can be seen here.
As I said, we really encourage everyone to become a part of the community
as they are a vital asset to the mod itself, not to mention that you
will find out about releases first before everyone else.

The site is up! See the roadmap of the mod, and find out when what
will be online.
This site's been up for some days, but only in alpha. Now that most is completed,
and the easyness of posting in this blog is almost as easy as a wordpress
account with and HTML layout, I'm ready to launch the official beta.
However, where there's beta, there needs to be a roadmap for more, so here it is:
8/3/08-9/3/08 : Get the blog search system ready.
10/3/08 : Have the Gallery and contact page up and running. DONE.
12/3/08-13/3/08 : Get the forum wrapped in the pages.
I'll keep you people updated on the mod's roadmap. I'll ask ArchNemesis to
send it to me.
